MO Update: D. & J. (China)

August 26, 2010

Dear prayer partners,

We have settled down into [the suburbs of Boston] and have just returned from a week at [camp / retreat with our church]. While we are thankful to the Lord for His provision for our family, I can’t help struggle knowing that our brothers and sisters in China are under intense pressure.  Since we left, they are experiencing increased attacks with greater intensity each week.  My heart is unsettled as we now live in the US with our comforts and safety while are family members are fighting the battle at the frontlines. Let me share with you some of the pressures that are taking place within China.

Fall 2010 Classes at ATS

August 23, 2010

The Fall 2010 semester at Alliance Theological Seminary (Nyack, NY) begins on Wednesday, September 8th.

Almost all classes at the Seminary are open to Audit students.  There are several on-line classes available, including Reading the Old Testament and Reading the New Testament.  Two in-person classes that might be of particular interest to our church community are:

  • Divine Healing (Tuesday evenings, 6-9p): taught by our friend Dr. Ron Walborn
  • Hebrew Bible & the Eastern Mediterranean World (Monday evenings, 6-9p): taught by Dr. Bryan Widbin (feel free to ask Sang Y., Jennifer Y. and Jeehyun K. about their experiences auditing a class with Dr. Widbin)

In addition, the classes at the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling (AGSC) are also be open to Audit students.   Ethnicity & Family Therapy (Tuesday evenings, 6-9p) might be especially interesting.

The ATS Fall 2010 Schedule can be found here.

The AGSC Fall 2010 Schedule can be found here.

If you have any questions about the school, the classes / professors, and/or applying to audit a class (or two!), please feel welcome to contact Catherine C.
