Christian Business Ethics Conference

April 7, 2010

From the Brochure:

“The Conference responds to the challenge raised by Samuel Huntington in his books, Clash of Civilizations, 1996, Culture Matters, 2000, Who Are We?, 2004, concerning the potential loss of the foundational principles that make the United States a unique place to do business.  Huntington and others identified the Christian heritage as articulated in the Westminster Confession of Faith as a key source for these foundational principles.  The Conference is designed to explore the principles starting from a faith perspective, then articulating the business and commercial implications.  The Conference challenges current normative business thinking by teaming a businessperson and a theologian, to wrestle with what should be the foundations for running a business. . . . “

Details about the Conference, held in mid-June 2010 at Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia, PA), can be found at the WTS website, or in the GoogleDoc Brochure.

  1. I’m impressed, I have to say. Actually hardly ever do I encounter a blog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me let you know, you will have hit the nail on the head. Your thought is outstanding; the issue is one thing that not enough individuals are speaking intelligently about. I am very comfortable that I stumbled across this in my seek for one thing regarding this.
